DIY Bubble Kit

We know how important it is for you to be creative and to able to save some money and do your own homemade, fun and inexpensive bubble kit for our amazing parade this 29th of May in 60 cities in the world.

For that we team up with Arshad one of the team members of Amal Academy in Pakistan to help us create this amazing and simple Bubble Kit.

Materials

  • A  Retractable Pen (which has a spring inside)
  • Dish Soap (we recommend organic and non-toxic Soap to protect nature)
  • Liquid Glycerin  (or White Sugar)
  • Warm Water
  • A plastic cup or a jar

For the Bubble Mix Recipe

  • 2 Tablespoons of dish soap
  • 1 Cup Warm Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Glycerin or 1 Teaspoon White Sugar

FIRST STEP

Retractable Pen = Bubble Wands

We decided to use a pen instead of other solutions like pipe cleaners, wire, etc. because they are easier to find in every country and easy to handle, especially for children!

To create a bubble wand remove the spring from the pen and stretch and bend it to form a circle. Using the pen spring will give you the perfect size to fit on jars and  placing it around a stick  will be easier.   Twist it tightly to the stick so it stays locked in place.  You can get creative with the spring shapes so it looks cooler but the result will be the same, all bubbles will be amazing circles!

SECOND STEP

On a plastic cup or a jar, start by combining 1 cup of warm water with 1 teaspoon of glycerin  or white sugar. Stir until it is completely dissolved. Next add the 2 tablespoons of Liquid Dish Soap and stir once again.

LAST STEP

Enjoy and have fun!

TIP

Why Glycerin or Sugar?

The addition of glycerin or sugar makes the bubbles last longer before popping. Glycerin can be purchased at pharmacies and health food stores in most of the countries.  If you can’t find glycerin don’t worry just simple white sugar will do the trick!burbujas4
